Turn off the tv during dinner
Heres a tip that most readers will dismiss straight away, and I personally cant get away with this either as I love my television. This article also wont apply if you live in a functional family unit that eats at a table together and discusses how their day was etc.
Basically, the whole idea of turning off your tv during dinner is so you arnt distracted by the television because lets be honest here, I mean if im eating while watching the television I dont even really notice what im eating, it just goes in.
If you turn the television off and actually watch what your plate while you eat you will notice what your eating and you can also focus on how fast you eat and survey your portion size as well. Theoretically, if you turn the television off and concentrate on what your actually consuming then you will feel fuller faster and you will also have more ease digesting your food.
Another key point and huge benefit that not eating in front of the television holds is exercise. Although this isnt exactly compulsory, it makes sense. If you typically watch a television programme that goes for 30minutes and it only takes you ten minutes to eat your food then your realistically probably not going tune into your programme halfway through after missing out on half of it so the best alternative for losing weight would be to spend the time difference from the television programme by taking a brisk walk. If you walk for twenty minutes then that would be roughly one hundred calories that you would burn off which is a good portion of the meal you previously ate.
So if you want additional ways to lose weight fast and really want to get into your diet with a kick start then seriously consider using this method.
