If youve ever watched the biggest loser (a tv show in Amer­ica, Aus­tralia and the UK and prob­a­bly some other ver­sions for other coun­tries) then you most likely know what a spin­ning bike is. A spin­ning bike as a refresher is basi­cally like an exer­cise bike but with discs inside of it and they can vary to cre­ate the illu­sion of  a real bike with hills and all of the things asso­ci­ated with bike rid­ing, its essen­tially a simulation.

You can either buy a spin­ning bike and use it on your own or alter­na­tively you can go to a  spin­ning class and theres a good chance that theres a spin­ning class in your area as its becom­ing more and more pop­u­lar by the day. The spin­ning classes will typ­i­cally involve high qual­ity spin­ning bikes with the change­able resistances.

If your look­ing at going to a spin­ning class then expect to go in a room with a good num­ber of spin­ning bikes in a lay­out suit­able for an instruc­tor to talk to all of the cus­tomers at the same time. I dont know for sure but if you do take a class then theres a good chance they will be full so you want to get in quick if this is for you.

Spin­ning bikes are not only just a great piece of exer­cise equip­ment in gen­eral but they are also great depend­ing on your coun­try and sur­round­ings as in hot coun­tries such as aus­tralia it may be to hot to go bike rid­ing for 20–30 min­utes+ and in cold coun­tries such as eng­land it might be rain­ing or to cold to go bike rid­ing so this is another use for the spin­ning bikes.

Now that weve cov­ered spin­ning bikes in gen­eral though, we need to analyse if they are actu­ally effec­tive for los­ing weight in gen­eral and los­ing weight fast. Well, if you think a reg­u­lar exer­cise bike is effec­tive then you dont even need to ask about a spin­ning bike as they have resis­tance set­tings mean­ing that you can make it extremely hard almost like going up a steep hill or you can make it eas­ier like on a flat sur­face. If you are going to use a spin­ning bike though, its rec­om­mended that you also get a heart reate mon­i­tor and use the exer­cise bike at the right set­ting for opti­mum weight loss. Chances are though if your in a class then you will be moti­vated any­way by the instruc­tor and the oth­ers who are exer­cis­ing with you.

If you do find a spin­ning bike class then you should note that there is no guar­an­tee on how long the class will last and how much the class will cost as that is set by the gym or other facil­ity you use.You should also try and find out how often you would like to do the class and then base the rest of your exer­cise regime around it. A good method in my opin­ion is maybe three exer­cise classes a week with the spin bike and another two times a week you should do some­thing such as run­ning, jog­ging or weight lifting.

What­ever you decide to do though with your spin bik­ing, good luck and lose as much weight as you can and lose the weight fast.
