Either way though that you choose to man­age your weight loss with your going to be most likely tired after any form of exer­cise (except for maybe the doing noth­ing and only eat­ing healthy option). Rest is impor­tant after any kind of exer­cise as it gives your mus­cles time to recover.

Although how much or how you rest depends on how you exer­cise as some mus­cles might need more rest then oth­ers, your going to want to learn to make a judge­ment based on how sore you are. As some mus­cles might be more sore such as if you do some weight lift­ing exer­cises then you might decide to do no exer­cise with those par­tic­u­lar mus­cles for up to three or maybe even four days.

Nat­u­rally though, if your walk­ing then its not going to be much of a toll on your leg mus­cles and you can prob­a­bly go for another walk again the next day. If you are on the other  hand though going to go and do some weight lift­ing with your legs then it would use mus­cles in your legs that you wouldnt use while walk­ing mean­ing that there is a good chance your legs will ache and as a result will hin­der you for going for walks and other exer­cises involv­ing your legs.

Another thing to take note of is if your sore and you rest then it actu­ally helps your body take in any pro­tein you eat which actu­ally builds mus­cle. If your exer­cis­ing reg­u­lar and using your mus­cles and then eat pro­tein it will not only build your mus­cles up but it will help repair them and make them feel bet­ter quicker then normal.

So get mus­cle build­ing as the more mus­cles you have, the eas­ier it is to burn weight.
