HungryMan 252x300 Dont starve yourselfWhen your ini­tially want­ing to lose weight and you dont know any­thing about it, its a com­mon idea to starve your self as this in many peo­ples logic sounds like a bril­liant way to lose those extra pounds. Real­is­ti­cally though its the com­pletely wrong way to go as it has lots and lots of neg­a­tive side effects.

To sum this arti­cle up before I even fin­ish it,im going to be blunt with you and say starv­ing your self really does not work what so ever. Not only is it hard to with­stand eat­ing food as you will be con­stantly hun­gry but it ruins your con­cen­tra­tion as you will most likely do noth­ing but con­stantly think about food. Not to men­tion, if you do have the will to not eat and starve your self then you should have the will to still eat and not be hun­gry but to sim­ply eat more health­ier and do a bit more exer­cise. Real­is­ti­cally this is not only the eas­i­est option but is prob­a­bly the all around best option.

Another thing to con­sider is that when you do not eat, your body actu­ally goes into star­va­tion mode or sur­vival mode as you may want to call it. If truth be told I actu­ally dont know the right name for it so both of those might be wrong. It does how­ever slow down your metab­o­lism a huge amount in order to care­fully use the fat that is stored in your body as energy so you burn min­i­mal energy com­pared to what you nor­mally would.

If you do man­age to lose a kilo­gram or two then fair enough you will be happy but you need to acknowl­edge that there’s a very good chance it will come back once you go back to nor­mal. Not only will it come back but it will prob­a­bly come back with addi­tional weight gain mak­ing you even fat­ter then before.

So not only does starv­ing your self not work but it takes a huge toll on your body.
