When your in the process of quit­ing your smok­ing hab­bit, you should try and set a new rou­tine. This can be a gen­eral work­out, going for a run or tak­ing up a hobby such as karate. If you cant do any of those then you should try and get up ear­lier so you can go for a walk or even a jog. If you decide to get up and go for a jog or run then it will be a fan­tas­tic way to kick start your day.

A key thing to keep in mind is that exer­cise doesnt need to mean lift­ing weights and what­not so if you dont have the time to hit the gym every­day then its not a prob­lem as you can do alter­na­tive activ­i­ties as men­tioned above. Either way though, if you choose to work out at home, the gym or do an alter­na­tive hobby you should keep in mind that keep­ing a reg­u­lar rou­tine is key. Either way though, its not the exer­cise thats dif­fi­cult its stick­ing to a routine.

Depend­ing on the per­son though, some peo­ple have fan­tas­tic starts. They will go and splurge on new equip­ment such as track­suites, trainer shoes and all of the other appro­pri­ate gear that goes with it mean­ing when they hit the gym its much eas­ier and they tend to enjoy it more. Note though that this isnt com­pul­sory and typ­i­cally those who do this find it hard to stick to the rou­tine  and will slow down a lot and pos­si­bly com­pletely burn out all together.

A com­mon mis­take that peo­ple make is choos­ing the evenings to exer­cise, nat­u­rally if this is the only time you can exer­cise then I sup­pose its not a prob­lem as exer­cise is exer­cise right. For the aver­age per­son though who has alter­na­tive options for exer­cise its bet­ter choos­ing a time ear­lier in the day, prefer­ably on a morn­ing as it elim­i­nates the chance of being to tired to exer­cise in the evenings. If you do decide to exer­cise in the morn­ings then you should wake up half an hour before you nor­mally would and begin your exer­cise regime.

Another thing to remem­ber about exer­cise is that not only should you avoid smok­ing but you should also avoid cof­fee due to its high caf­feine con­tent. Alter­na­tively you should drink tea, how­ever that would be bet­ter to be avoided as well. If you are going to stick at kick­ing your smok­ing habit then you should also remove any­thing from your life that reminds you of smok­ing. This could include ash­trays, posters, pic­tures and a vari­ety of other mem­o­ries or smok­ing accessories.

 

Most peo­ple who quit smok­ing eas­ily become stressed as a result of hav­ing lit­tle or no nico­tine. To reduce your stress, you should take some pre­cau­tions to avoid it all together. You should also find some ways you can reduce your stress and maybe even buy a stress ball.
