Dont be to generous with your portions
When you read the post title you probably thought something along the lines of ‘I eat what fills me’ and if you didnt then my deepest appologees for trying to be a mind reader.
Typically though, when it comes to portion sizes different people eat different ammounts and without being sexist I can confidently say most men will probably eat more then woman do purely because most men are naturally bigger in size then woman anyway. I personally eat untill im full but im sure it varies person to person.
A typical example of everyones portion expectations is that every single resteraunt varies in size from small to huge.
Usually though the reason people put weight on is because they eat to much wether it be healthy food or unhealthy food.
I actually watched an episode of the popular television program called super fat vs super skinny the other day and its main subject in this particular episode was portion size. There was a ‘super skinny’ person who hardly ate anything at all (super small portion) and then there was the ‘super fat’ person who was a woman weighing roughly twenty one or twenty two stone. When you watched the tv show though (super skinny vs super fat) it actually showed you what the woman weighing twenty two stone ate and believe it or not it was actually moderately healthy and in smaller portions would of been substantial for her to maintain her weight or with exerce would of helped her lose weight as it was things like stirfrys and other dishes with large ammounts of vegetables etc. The reason she was fat though and was continuing to put on weight was because she ate excessive ammounts of it. This was notable when she had to show the super skinny portion what to eat, he only managed to eat about one quarter of what she dished him up.
Overall , portions are one of the key things you need to keep in mind when wanting to lose weight. If you eat to much no matter what it is you will gain weight and if you eat to little you will lose weight but if you eat just the right ammount of the right stuff you will lose weight and / or maintain your weight.
Keep this advice in mind and watch your portions
