When you read the post title you prob­a­bly thought some­thing along the lines of ‘I eat what fills me’ and if you didnt then my deep­est appolo­gees for try­ing to be a mind reader.

Typ­i­cally though, when it comes to por­tion sizes dif­fer­ent peo­ple eat dif­fer­ent ammounts and with­out being sex­ist I can con­fi­dently say most men will prob­a­bly eat more then woman do purely because most men are nat­u­rally big­ger in size then woman any­way. I per­son­ally eat untill im full but im sure it varies per­son to person.

A typ­i­cal exam­ple of every­ones por­tion expec­ta­tions is that every sin­gle rester­aunt varies in size from small to huge.

Usu­ally though the rea­son peo­ple put weight on is because they eat to much wether it be healthy food or unhealthy food.

 

I actu­ally watched an episode of the pop­u­lar tele­vi­sion pro­gram called super fat vs super skinny the other day and its main sub­ject in this par­tic­u­lar episode was por­tion size. There was a ‘super skinny’ per­son who hardly ate any­thing at all (super small por­tion) and then there was the ‘super fat’ per­son who was a woman weigh­ing roughly twenty one or twenty two stone. When you watched the tv show though (super skinny vs super fat) it actu­ally showed you what the woman weigh­ing twenty two stone ate and believe it or not it was actu­ally mod­er­ately healthy and in smaller por­tions would of been sub­stan­tial for her to main­tain her weight or with exerce would of helped her lose weight as it was things like stir­frys and other dishes with large ammounts of veg­eta­bles etc. The rea­son she was fat though and was con­tin­u­ing to put on weight was because she ate exces­sive ammounts of it. This was notable when she had to show the super skinny por­tion what to eat, he only man­aged to eat about one quar­ter of what she dished him up.

Over­all , por­tions are one of the key things you need to keep in mind when want­ing to lose weight. If you eat to much no mat­ter what it is you will gain weight and if you eat to lit­tle you will lose weight but if you eat just the right ammount of the right stuff you will lose weight and / or main­tain your weight.

Keep this advice in mind and watch your portions
