Cardio Exercise
There are a variety of cardio exercises meaning at some point youve probably wondered which cardio exercise is actually better. Although it doesnt exactly come down to which is ‘better’ as there are low and high intensity cardio exercises you can do to lose your weight, it does come down to which is actually the most effective.
Scientists discovered that during intensive exercise your body actually burns glycogen which is a type of carbohydrate. This carbohydrate is stored in your liver and muscles for energy.
Our bodies burn more fat during exercises such as walking or swimming (which is low intensity). Your body will also burn high amounts of calories during high intensity exercises including glycogen. A positive thing about burning glycogen is that the carbohydrates from the food you eat will get converted into glycogen meaning it wont be converted to fat and will be easy to burn off.
If you do high intensity cardio exercise after working out then it will speed up your metabolism for hours afterwards which is none existent with low intensive cardio. By doing cardio you not only manage to burn calories during and after your workout but you also make it easier and easier to do it the more you do cardio workouts. Cardio exercise is also typically easy meaning its not something you need to fret about doing. The more you do cardio exercise the easier it will become.
If you have never given cardio exercise a go before then you should definitely give it a go.If you enjoy exercise or even if you do exercise despite disliking it then you will find that cardio is the best method to increase your energy and calorie burning efforts.Note though that if your new to cardio then you should pace your self to begin with to avoid over exerting your self.
