There are a vari­ety of car­dio exer­cises mean­ing at some point youve prob­a­bly won­dered which car­dio exer­cise is actu­ally bet­ter. Although it doesnt exactly come down to which is ‘bet­ter’ as there are low and high inten­sity car­dio exer­cises you can do to lose your weight, it does come down to which is actu­ally the most effective.

Sci­en­tists dis­cov­ered that dur­ing inten­sive exer­cise your body actu­ally burns glyco­gen which is a type of car­bo­hy­drate. This car­bo­hy­drate is stored in your liver and mus­cles for energy.

Our bod­ies burn more fat dur­ing exer­cises such as walk­ing or swim­ming (which is low inten­sity). Your body will also burn high amounts of calo­ries dur­ing high inten­sity exer­cises includ­ing glyco­gen. A pos­i­tive thing about burn­ing glyco­gen  is that the car­bo­hy­drates from the food you eat will get con­verted into glyco­gen mean­ing it wont be con­verted to fat and will be easy to burn off.

If you do high inten­sity car­dio exer­cise after work­ing out then it will speed up your metab­o­lism for hours after­wards which is none exis­tent with low inten­sive car­dio. By doing car­dio you not only man­age to burn calo­ries dur­ing and after your work­out but you also make it eas­ier and eas­ier to do it the more you do car­dio work­outs. Car­dio exer­cise is also typ­i­cally easy mean­ing its not some­thing you need to fret about doing. The more you do car­dio exer­cise the eas­ier it will become.

If you have never given car­dio exer­cise a go before then you should def­i­nitely give it a go.If you enjoy exer­cise or even if you do exer­cise despite dis­lik­ing it then you will find that car­dio is the best method to increase your energy and calo­rie burn­ing efforts.Note though that if your new to car­dio then you should pace your self to begin with to avoid over exert­ing your self.

    I do car­dio daily and its eas­ily the best form of exercise.
